Caring for Your Retainer

Protecting your brand-new smile once braces come off.

Once your braces come off, wear your retainer exactly as directed. It's what keeps your new smile straight for good.
Clean it daily with a toothbrush and lukewarm water; hot water can warp the plastic.
Always store it in its case when it is out. Napkins and pockets are where retainers get lost or thrown away.
Bring it to your check-ups so we can make sure it still fits just right.
